I gave my granddaughter, Leah, the best Christmas gift ever. I taught her to knit on Xmas day. She will be 7 on Jan. 8. I think my teaching methods are improving. She picked it up very quickly. I had a pair of short wooden needles which I paired with a dk weight wool-silk yarn blend. The yarn stuck nicely to the needles giving her a chance to work at her own pace. She's very meticulous and takes her time.
